Aloha, and welcome to DocJobsHawaii! We created this to be a clearinghouse for all doctor jobs in Hawaii to make it easier for docs to find wonderful jobs in the best place in the US, and help practices and organizations recruit you more easily. We NEED you and we want you to have a wonderful experience either returning home to practice or learning about this wonderful community in an inclusive and supportive manner. This is a collaborative effort led by the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine Area Health Education Center. Feel free to reach out and ask us anything.

Kelley Withy, MD, PhD is a Family Physician who has worked at UH JABSOM since 1996. She’s been involved in teaching at many levels-residency, clinical, preclinical, even non-medical and CME. She has run the Area Health Education Center (federal grant program that supports recruitment to health careers, training in areas of need and recruitment to practice in those areas) since 1999. She is the physician workforce researcher since the program began in 2008. She manages the health career loan repayment programs and many scholarships. Her personal goal is to make sure that everyone in Hawaii (and US Pacific jurisdictions) has access to healthcare services when they need them, where they need them. She has helped get malpractice reform, preceptor tax credit, loan repayment, exemption of the general excise tax for public insurances, as well as hired a lobbyist to get higher Medicare rates and staff to help develop a clinical owned Accountable Care Organization. Nick named Hawaii’s physician cheer leader, no idea is too crazy!!
