Job Description
East Hawaii Medical Group is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Pulmonologist to join a well-supported, outpatient-focused pulmonary practice. This role is designed for a physician who prefers clinic-based care, continuity with patients, and a predictable schedule without the demands of inpatient or ICU responsibilities.
You will join a collaborative team with strong referral support and the infrastructure needed to practice efficiently while maintaining a high standard of care.
Key Responsibilties:
Provide comprehensive outpatient pulmonary care across a broad spectrum of respiratory conditions
Diagnose and manage chronic diseases such as COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, and bronchiectasis
Evaluate pulmonary nodules and oversee lung cancer screening and follow-up care
Assess and treat patients with chronic cough, dyspnea, and other respiratory symptoms
Interpret pulmonary function tests (PFTs), imaging, and other diagnostic studies
Develop and manage individualized, longitudinal treatment plans
Collaborate closely with primary care providers and specialty teams to ensure coordinated care
Educate patients on disease management, prevention strategies, and lifestyle modifications
Utilize EMR systems (e.g., Epic) to document encounters and track patient outcomes
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain high clinical standards
Support practice growth through efficient patient management and strong patient satisfaction
Education & Training Requirements
Medical Degree (MD or DO)
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonology
